Fronius is a world leader in the fields of technology and innovation. The company was founded as early as 1945 in Austria, and its products are still sold today in 30 countries on 5 continents. The first product the company offered was a simple car battery charger. The company expanded its offerings to include transformer welding equipment until the 1990s, when the company’s next owners siblings Strauß and Klaus Fronius noticed the rapid development of renewable energy. At that time, production of solar inverters began, a subject in which the company has deepened its knowledge and experience since 1992.

To this day, Fronius remains a family-owned company that bases its business on renewable energy, battery charging technology and welding. Fronius products are manufactured in Australia, under conditions that are consistent with the spirit of sustainable development. The high quality of the products offered is assured by the results of tests carried out under extreme conditions. The company offers expert advice on its products, as well as professional service.

Charging modes

ECO mode

If you have a photovoltaic installation this mode is ideal for you! It guarantees charging your electric vehicle with the cheapest available energy, such as from the surplus production of your photovoltaic installation. It ensures charging at a time when electricity from the grid is the cheapest at certain tariffs.

Next Trip Mode

Next Trip mode allows the vehicle to be recharged at a certain time and for a certain number of kilometers specified by the owner. It will use the energy from the photovoltaic system first and then the electricity available from the grid. It is ideal for people who plan their trips.

Type 2 connector

The Type 2 connector, also known as the Mennekes connector, is one of the most popular electric car charging connectors in Europe. The connector is compatible with various brands of electric cars, including manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Tesla, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Renault and many others. This universal and versatile connector allows vehicles to be charged in both DC and AC modes, making it one of the most widely used electric car charging connectors on the market.

RFID card

The RFID card uses radio frequency identification technology. It is a small card, similar to a credit card, equipped with a microprocessor and a radio antenna. The card can be programmed to store information such as the user’s identification number, vehicle information, and charging data. When charging an electric car, the RFID card is used to authorize the user and allow him access to the charging station. The user applies the card to an RFID reader, which reads the information stored on the card and, based on this, authorizes the user to use the charger. Once authorized, the user can connect his car to the charging station and start charging.

One of the main advantages of RFID cards is their versatility. This means that the user can use any charging station supported by his RFID card. It is not necessary to have a separate card for each charging station, which makes using public chargers much easier. RFID cards also have many other advantages. They are very convenient to use, as the user can easily keep the card in his wallet or pocket. In addition, they are relatively cheap to produce and easy to use, making them an attractive solution for charging station operators.
