Energy storage systems

Energy storages are devices that allow you to increase the self-consumption of electricity produced from micro-installations. Energy storages enable hybrid operation of the plant, which uses electricity storage and, when there is insufficient production and reserves, draws energy from the grid. The use of storages also allows operation in island mode, that is, completely independent of the power grid.

HOW DO ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM WORK?

Hybrid energy storage facilities have the ability to adapt the mode of operation to the users’ current needs, but the most common scenario is:

In the first place, the electricity produced by photovoltaics or windmill is used to meet the current needs of users.

The overproduction of electricity, in the first instance, is directed to the energy storage and charges the batteries.

If the needs exceed the current energy production by the installation, the system draws energy from the storage.

If there is still a shortage of energy, the system draws energy from the power grid.
